Years ago, I came across an "ART Management Team," leading the development of their Agile Release Train.
It was apparent how much responsibility this management team took on and how passive the development teams were.
Since then, I have seen the same pattern a number of times, and I do think it impedes people from becoming empowered. In this article, I explore and share my thoughts about preserving traditional hierarchies in contrast to enabling creative team collaboration.
